Mom's Wedding Day

My mom got married over the weekend in Louisana! My sister flew and I drove with the boys. I need not say more if you have ever taken a car trip with kids just sigh with me( ahhhh) and feel my pain!!!
Back to the wedding....It was wonderful ceremony. It was small and intimate. She and the groom only invited a few of their close friends and family. My sister and I decorated her townhouse according to what my mom said she wanted and helped to calm her lil' nerves. My mom wore a gold or champange colored beautiful dress and a nice dressy shrug with gold beading. She wanted to do her own hair. It was nice and bouncy and gray . (Yes its her hair) The food was a array of appetizers, meat trays, fruit trays, tea sandwiches , cake etc.... Gee whiz!! Brides!! I am glad she wasn't a bridezilla but she sure was worrying us to get downstairs in a hurry before guests began to arrive. I began to worry as the guests started to trickle in because I feared that her intimate lil affair was getting too big. Anyway everything went as planned.
I guess I can keep hope alive in the relationship department!! One day I might meet someone .
Enough of that.... I know one thing. I am chubby as heck I prefer to use the term chubby not FAT. Well women always think they are fat. That's it. I am going on a diet. Those steriods that I take are killing the body.

My sisterlocks looked ok. I can't style them too much. I have relaxed ends so I must maintain a polished look with my hair otherwise it will look messy and stringy. Basically my sister and both lightly spritzed our hair and rolled them an hour before the event and they were done. I used medium perm rods and she used flex rods. I want to try setting lotion but I am not sure about how it will work. I am thinking major slippage. Who knows?

OMG your grandmother looks near identical to my grandmother. I'm happy for her and her husband. They look so happy. Yes, there is hope for me and you. LOL. And don't worry about being chubby. I have a friend who's 6'2" and about 350lbs and she found the love of her life got married and expecting. Her advice to me was start accepting myself for who I was. Don't worry about how you look. She said most women worry about losing weight to look good, but don't even think about the health benefits. Once I get that right, then things will start falling into place. It finally clicked and I'm dating a very cool gentleman.

Thanks Carmen!! Yes but there a lot a toads and mess out there. That's my mommy! She doesn't believe in coloring her hair. She is all gray she doesn't care for the upkeep of maintaining coloring hair. Yes she does look happy. Hmmm! Should I tell my daddy. I am dying too!!

Aw, there is hope after all ;> My mom actually just got married in jan 08 as well. We were throwing her a much wanted birthday party that she and her groom used to surprise us all with a wedding. Girl, we were so shocked and everyone was in tears. I pray nothing but happiness for your mom and hubby and your day will probably be following real soon!

Thank you! I wonder why ex-husbands or men can meet women quickly regardless of the race. Yes mom is happy! I am glad too cause my dad got married shortly after their divorce. It took her longer to sort through the toads before finding a prince.

Your mother is very beautiful, that gives single mothers like myself hope that one day i will be married again with the perfect person for me.

Loving your locks BTW. My scheduled installation date has moved from next Friday to September.

God's time is the best.

Stay beautiful inside and out.
